Why Embodied Yoga?

Embodied is a term that has become popular in recent years in yoga. Is all yoga not embodied?

When I first enrolled on my first 500-hour Advanced Teacher Training in Embodied Yoga, I wondered the same - I had already been practising yoga for over 30 years, teaching from a therapeutic perspective f& always changed the pose to suit the body in front of me. How is this different?

The main thing that changed is how I moved, my mobility, my fluidity and my inner connection. For the first time, I began to feel integrated, and notice when I was not.

It took me a few years to integrate it, however the results I saw in my classes echoed what I experienced in my own body. My students found freedom and ease, better mobility, strength and resilience at a speed and level of integration I had never seen before.

And now I get to share everything I learned with my students and other yoga teachers
